Museum Mockup
What's inside
- Applications Photoshop
- File Types PSD
- License Free (see author's terms)
- Author Graphictwister
If you’re presenting a mood shot, this museum mockup makes the idea feel real before anything is produced.
Useful for brand designers as much as for web designers. A small tip: change the background colour to your brand palette; it does more for the final image than people expect.
Small branded items are often the part of an identity that clients remember, so it’s worth showing them properly.
The file is made by Graphictwister. The download button takes you to their page, where you get the original file and the licence details.
What’s inside the Museum Mockup PSD
Main things you can change in Photoshop:
- Logo or artwork, placed through the smart object
- Shadows
- Background colour
Editing the Museum Mockup, step by step
- Export your logo or artwork as a PNG with transparency.
- Open the PSD in Photoshop and find the smart object layer, usually named “Your Design” or “Place Here”.
- Drop your artwork in, fit it to the canvas, save and close. The mockup updates by itself.
- Save a JPG for clients and social media, and keep the PSD for later changes.
Worth remembering: use a PNG with transparency for logos so the material around them keeps its texture.

Good to know
- Made by Graphictwister. The download size and format are listed on their page.
- Check the smart object size before you design, so your artwork fits without stretching.
- Some free mockups ask for credit when you post them. A short line in your caption is enough.
- Built for Adobe Photoshop. A recent CC version handles the smart objects best.

Questions about this mockup
Is it free for commercial use?
It's free to download, but the licence belongs to Graphictwister. Check their page: it states whether commercial use is allowed and if attribution is needed.
How do I add my design?
Open the file in Photoshop, double-click the smart object thumbnail, paste or place your artwork in the new tab, save it (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close. The main file updates on its own.
Which Photoshop version do I need?
A recent Photoshop CC version is best. Older versions can open the file but sometimes have trouble with smart objects and effects.
Can I change the background?
Most object mockups have a background colour or image layer at the bottom of the stack that you can swap.
