Show a transit ad the way it will actually look: on a lightbox signage mockup.
It’s a handy file for city marketers and campaign designers. Quick tip: check your artwork’s aspect ratio against the smart object before you start, or faces and logos get cropped.
It’s also handy for student and portfolio work, when you want to show a campaign that never went live. Show the same visual on a billboard and a flyer to present a consistent campaign.
Use it for
- A transit ad
- A city lightbox ad
- A campaign poster

What’s inside the Lightbox Signage Mockup PSD
Everything below is on its own layer:
- Ad artwork, placed through the smart object
- Brightness to match the scene
- Lighting and shadow layers
Editing the Lightbox Signage Mockup, step by step
- Export the ad artwork large so it stays sharp in the scene.
- Open the PSD in Photoshop and find the smart object layer, usually named “Your Design” or “Place Here”.
- Place your design, hide the sample artwork, save, and go back to the main file.
- Match the ad’s brightness to the scene with the lighting layers.
- Save a JPG for clients and social media, and keep the PSD for later changes.
Worth remembering: match the brightness of your design to the scene; a very bright graphic in a shaded spot looks pasted in.
Where the Lightbox Signage Mockup works best
- Share a campaign poster on Instagram, Behance or Dribbble with a real-looking preview.
- Present a city lightbox ad in a client proposal or brand guide.
- Use it as the cover image for a transit ad in your portfolio.
Before you download
- Made by GraphicsFuel. The download size and format are listed on their page.
- Built for Adobe Photoshop. A recent CC version handles the smart objects best.
- The preview shows the angle, background and lighting you’ll get.
- Some free mockups ask for credit when you post them. A short line in your caption is enough.

Questions about this mockup
Is it free for commercial use?
It's free to download, but the licence belongs to GraphicsFuel. Check their page: it states whether commercial use is allowed and if attribution is needed.
How do I put my artwork on the bus stop ad?
Find the smart object layer (it has a small icon on its thumbnail), double-click it, place your design, then save and close that tab.
Which Photoshop version do I need?
A recent Photoshop CC version is best. Older versions can open the file but sometimes have trouble with smart objects and effects.
Can I change the surroundings?
Usually only lighting and shadows are adjustable. The street, sky or building are part of the photo.
