Clipboard Menu Mockup

What's inside

  • Applications Photoshop
  • File Types PSD
  • License Free (see author's terms)
  • Author Mr.Mockup

Presenting a café drinks list? Put it on this clipboard menu mockup and the client sees the real thing, not a flat file.

Restaurants and cafés tend to get the most out of files like this. Menus are read up close, so check prices and dish names at 100% zoom in the final export.

It also makes a good cover image for a Behance or Dribbble post, where the first thumbnail decides whether anyone clicks. For a complete brand board, show it next to a business card and a notebook.

Good for

  • A café drinks list
  • A bar menu
  • A restaurant menu

Mr.Mockup created this one and hosts the download on their own site, so you always get the latest version straight from the source.

What’s inside the Clipboard Menu Mockup PSD

Everything below is on its own layer:

  • Your design, placed through the smart object
  • Shadows and highlights on their own layers
  • Front and back artwork, where both sides are shown

Editing the Clipboard Menu Mockup, step by step

  1. Set up the design flat at the real print size and keep text inside a safe margin.
  2. Open the PSD in Photoshop and find the smart object layer, usually named “Your Design” or “Place Here”.
  3. Drop your artwork in, fit it to the canvas, save and close. The mockup updates by itself.
  4. Export with File › Export › Export As: JPG for sharing, PNG for the web.

Another tip: dark designs often look flat on paper mockups. Turning the highlight layer up slightly brings back the sheen.

Where the Clipboard Menu Mockup works best

  • Make two or three colour versions of a restaurant menu and let the client pick.
  • Show a café drinks list to a client before it goes to print or production.
  • Present a bar menu in a client proposal or brand guide.

Questions about this mockup

Is it free for commercial use?

That depends on the author's terms. The download page lists what is allowed; when in doubt, ask the author directly.

How do I add my design?

Open the file in Photoshop, double-click the smart object thumbnail, paste or place your artwork in the new tab, save it (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close. The main file updates on its own.

Which Photoshop version do I need?

A recent Photoshop CC version is best. Older versions can open the file but sometimes have trouble with smart objects and effects.

Will my artwork look printed or pasted on?

Most print mockups keep the paper texture and lighting on separate layers above your design, so it takes on the grain and shadows. If it still looks too clean, lower the opacity of your artwork a little.
