Branding Invitation Card Mockup

What's inside

  • Applications Photoshop
  • File Types PSD
  • License Free (see author's terms)
  • Author Pixeden

A greeting card looks better on a branding invitation card mockup than on a white artboard, and this mockup is set up for exactly that.

It’s a handy file for wedding stationers and event planners. Use CMYK-friendly colours in the artwork itself, even though the mockup is RGB, so what the client sees is close to print.

Seeing a layout on a real card is also the easiest way to catch problems early. A phone number that looked fine on screen can turn out too small once it sits on paper.

Use it for

  • A greeting card
  • A postcard
  • A thank-you card

The file is made by Pixeden. The download button takes you to their page, where you get the original file and the licence details.

What’s inside the Branding Invitation Card Mockup PSD

The PSD is layered, so you can change:

  • Your design, placed through the smart object
  • Front and back artwork, where both sides are shown
  • Paper or background colour
  • Shadows and highlights on their own layers

Add your design to the Branding Invitation Card Mockup

  1. Export your artwork as a high-resolution PNG or JPG, around 300 ppi at print size.
  2. Open the PSD in Photoshop and find the smart object layer, usually named “Your Design” or “Place Here”.
  3. Place your design, hide the sample artwork, save, and go back to the main file.
  4. Tweak the shadow and highlight layers to suit your colours.
  5. Save a JPG for clients and social media, and keep the PSD for later changes.

One more thing: export your artwork at the size the smart object asks for; scaling a small file up is the usual reason print mockups look soft.

Where the Branding Invitation Card Mockup works best

  • Present a wedding invitation in a client proposal or brand guide.
  • Show a greeting card on your online shop or product page.
  • Show a thank-you card to a client before it goes to print or production.

Questions about this mockup

Is it free for commercial use?

Pixeden sets the licence, and it can differ from file to file. Many free files allow personal and commercial use, but some are personal-only or ask for credit. Read the terms on the download page before a paid project.

How do I put my artwork on the card?

Find the smart object layer (it has a small icon on its thumbnail), double-click it, place your design, then save and close that tab.

Do I need Photoshop?

Yes. This is a PSD mockup built with smart objects, so you edit it in Adobe Photoshop. Any recent CC version works.

Can I show both sides?

It depends on the file. Many print mockups include a front and a back smart object; the preview usually shows whether both sides are visible.
