This metallic pouch mockup is one of the simpler ways to present a pet food design or a coffee bag label convincingly.
Useful for food brands as much as for packaging designers. One thing worth knowing: build the label or dieline flat first, then place it; bending text inside the mockup is harder to fix later.
Packaging is judged on the shelf in a couple of seconds, so seeing the design on the real shape tells you more than the flat dieline ever will.

Editable options in the Metallic Pouch Mockup PSD
Everything below is on its own layer:
- Label or box artwork, placed through the smart object
- Background colour
- Shadows
- Gloss and highlight layers
Editing the Metallic Pouch Mockup, step by step
- Finish the label first, with barcode and small print in place.
- Open the PSD in Photoshop and find the smart object layer, usually named “Your Design” or “Place Here”.
- Place your design, hide the sample artwork, save, and go back to the main file.
- Turn the highlight layer down if it washes out your logo.
- Save a JPG for clients and social media, and keep the PSD for later changes.
One more thing: render two colour versions side by side. Clients choose faster when they compare.

Questions about this mockup
What licence does it come with?
Mockups Design sets the licence, and it can differ from file to file. Many free files allow personal and commercial use, but some are personal-only or ask for credit. Read the terms on the download page before a paid project.
How do I add my design?
Open the file in Photoshop, double-click the smart object thumbnail, paste or place your artwork in the new tab, save it (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close. The main file updates on its own.
Do I need Photoshop?
Yes. This is a PSD mockup built with smart objects, so you edit it in Adobe Photoshop. Any recent CC version works.
Can I change the packaging colour?
Usually yes. There is normally a colour layer under the design smart object, so you can change the base colour without touching your artwork.
