Full Towel Mockup

What's inside

  • Applications Photoshop
  • File Types PSD
  • License Free (see author's terms)
  • Author Zippypixels

This full towel mockup is one of the simpler ways to present a hotel logo or a gym brand convincingly.

Hotels and gyms tend to get the most out of files like this. Tip: keep chest prints around a third of the shirt width. Oversized art looks unrealistic on a folded or worn garment.

Selling merch online without photos of every colour is hard; a good apparel mockup fills that gap until the samples arrive.

This is a free file from Zippypixels. When you click download you’ll land on their page to grab it.

Full Towel Mockup: editable parts

The PSD is layered, so you can change:

  • Print design, placed through the smart object
  • Fabric colour
  • Shadows and highlights
  • Folds and wrinkles that wrap your print

Add your design to the Full Towel Mockup

  1. Decide where the design sits on the item and size your art for that spot.
  2. Open the PSD in Photoshop and find the smart object layer, usually named “Your Design” or “Place Here”.
  3. Place your design, hide the sample artwork, save, and go back to the main file.
  4. Change the fabric colour with the colour fill layer.
  5. Export with File › Export › Export As: JPG for sharing, PNG for the web.

Worth remembering: light prints on light fabric vanish; try the garment colour layer first before you change your artwork.

Where the Full Towel Mockup works best

  • Show a gym brand to a client before it goes to print or production.
  • Make two or three colour versions of a beach print and let the client pick.
  • Use it as the cover image for a hotel logo in your portfolio.

Before you download

  • Made by Zippypixels. The download size and format are listed on their page.
  • Check the smart object size before you design, so your artwork fits without stretching.
  • Check the licence on the author’s page. Personal and commercial terms differ from file to file.
  • Some free mockups ask for credit when you post them. A short line in your caption is enough.

Questions about this mockup

What licence does it come with?

Zippypixels sets the licence, and it can differ from file to file. Many free files allow personal and commercial use, but some are personal-only or ask for credit. Read the terms on the download page before a paid project.

How do I add my design?

Open the file in Photoshop, double-click the smart object thumbnail, paste or place your artwork in the new tab, save it (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close. The main file updates on its own.

Which Photoshop version do I need?

A recent Photoshop CC version is best. Older versions can open the file but sometimes have trouble with smart objects and effects.

Can I change the fabric colour?

Almost every apparel mockup has a colour fill or adjustment layer for the garment. Double-click its thumbnail and pick your colour.
