An illustration looks better on a hand holding metal mug mockup than on a white artboard, and this mockup is set up for exactly that. Because it’s metal, the material shows through a little, which keeps the result believable.
It’s a handy file for corporate merch teams and print-on-demand sellers. Tip: mug prints wrap around; if the preview shows one side, keep the design centred on that side.
Cafés and coffee brands use renders like this for menus, social posts and supplier pitches.

Questions about this mockup
Is it free for commercial use?
It's free to download, but the licence belongs to Mr.Mockup. Check their page: it states whether commercial use is allowed and if attribution is needed.
How do I add my design?
Open the file in Photoshop, double-click the smart object thumbnail, paste or place your artwork in the new tab, save it (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close. The main file updates on its own.
Which Photoshop version do I need?
A recent Photoshop CC version is best. Older versions can open the file but sometimes have trouble with smart objects and effects.
Will my logo follow the curve?
Curved-surface mockups use a warp or displacement so the print bends with the cup. Keep key text in the middle, where the curve distorts it least.
Why does the download open another website?
