Modern Brochure Mockup

What's inside

  • Applications Photoshop
  • File Types PSD
  • License Free (see author's terms)
  • Author Graphic Google

If you’re presenting a product catalogue, this modern brochure mockup makes the idea feel real before anything is produced.

Useful for marketing teams as much as for print designers. Tip: match your panel widths to the fold lines in the smart object; tri-folds have one slightly narrower panel.

It also makes a good cover image for a Behance or Dribbble post, where the first thumbnail decides whether anyone clicks.

Graphic Google created this one and hosts the download on their own site, so you always get the latest version straight from the source.

Modern Brochure Mockup: editable parts

Everything below is on its own layer:

  • Your design, placed through the smart object
  • Paper texture you can turn up or down
  • Paper or background colour
  • Shadows and highlights on their own layers

Add your design to the Modern Brochure Mockup

  1. Export your artwork as a high-resolution PNG or JPG, around 300 ppi at print size.
  2. In the Layers panel, find the layer with the small smart object icon and double-click it.
  3. Place your design, hide the sample artwork, save, and go back to the main file.
  4. Turn the texture layer up or down to match the paper you’ll print on.
  5. Save a JPG for clients and social media, and keep the PSD for later changes.

Another tip: use CMYK-friendly colours in the artwork itself, even though the mockup is RGB, so what the client sees is close to print.

Questions about this mockup

Is it free for commercial use?

That depends on the author's terms. The download page lists what is allowed; when in doubt, ask the author directly.

How do I add my design?

Open the file in Photoshop, double-click the smart object thumbnail, paste or place your artwork in the new tab, save it (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close. The main file updates on its own.

Do I need Photoshop?

Yes. This is a PSD mockup built with smart objects, so you edit it in Adobe Photoshop. Any recent CC version works.

Will my artwork look printed or pasted on?

Most print mockups keep the paper texture and lighting on separate layers above your design, so it takes on the grain and shadows. If it still looks too clean, lower the opacity of your artwork a little.
