This ice cream cone mockup is one of the simpler ways to present a popsicle wrapper or a tub label convincingly.

It’s a handy file for cafés and packaging designers. Tip: build the label or dieline flat first, then place it; bending text inside the mockup is harder to fix later.

It’s also handy for crowdfunding pages and pitch decks, when the product exists but the packaging hasn’t been printed yet.

This is a free file from Graphic Google. When you click download you’ll land on their page to grab it.

Ice Cream Cone Mockup: editable parts

The PSD is layered, so you can change:

  • Label or box artwork, placed through the smart object
  • Background colour
  • Gloss and highlight layers

How to use the Ice Cream Cone Mockup

  1. Export each side of the pack as its own image if the file has separate smart objects.
  2. Open the file in Photoshop and double-click the smart object thumbnail in the Layers panel.
  3. Drop your artwork in, fit it to the canvas, save and close. The mockup updates by itself.
  4. Check each visible side so the panels line up.
  5. Export with File › Export › Export As: JPG for sharing, PNG for the web.

Worth remembering: glossy packaging picks up highlights over your art; reduce the highlight layer if your logo gets washed out.

Where the Ice Cream Cone Mockup works best

  • Show a popsicle wrapper on your online shop or product page.
  • Make two or three colour versions of an ice cream cup design and let the client pick.
  • Share a tub label on Instagram, Behance or Dribbble with a real-looking preview.

Quick notes on this mockup

  • Made by Graphic Google. The download size and format are listed on their page.
  • The preview shows the angle, background and lighting you’ll get.
  • Built for Adobe Photoshop. A recent CC version handles the smart objects best.

Questions about this mockup

Is it free for commercial use?

That depends on the author's terms. The download page lists what is allowed; when in doubt, ask the author directly.

How do I add my design?

Open the file in Photoshop, double-click the smart object thumbnail, paste or place your artwork in the new tab, save it (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close. The main file updates on its own.

Which Photoshop version do I need?

A recent Photoshop CC version is best. Older versions can open the file but sometimes have trouble with smart objects and effects.

Can I change the packaging colour?

Usually yes. There is normally a colour layer under the design smart object, so you can change the base colour without touching your artwork.

Why does the download open another website?

We list free files from designers around the web and link to the original page, so Graphic Google gets the visit and you get the file exactly as they published it.
