What's inside

  • Applications Photoshop
  • File Types PSD

A front two pouch mockup, made for presenting a snack pouch. Drop in your artwork and the lighting and shadows stay as they are.

It’s a handy file for coffee roasters and packaging designers. Quick tip: glossy packaging picks up highlights over your art; reduce the highlight layer if your logo gets washed out.

A realistic render saves a round of physical samples, which for packaging can take weeks. A matching label or sticker mockup rounds out the set.

Creatoom created this one and hosts the download on their own site, so you always get the latest version straight from the source.

Front Two Pouch Mockup: editable parts

Open it in Photoshop and you can change:

  • Label or box artwork, placed through the smart object
  • Base colour of the pack
  • Shadows
  • Background colour

Add your design to the Front Two Pouch Mockup

  1. Export each side of the pack as its own image if the file has separate smart objects.
  2. Open the PSD in Photoshop and find the smart object layer, usually named “Your Design” or “Place Here”.
  3. Drop your artwork in, fit it to the canvas, save and close. The mockup updates by itself.
  4. Export a full-size image for your portfolio and a smaller one for social media.

One more thing: build the label or dieline flat first, then place it; bending text inside the mockup is harder to fix later.

Where the Front Two Pouch Mockup works best

  • Show a coffee bag label on your online shop or product page.
  • Make two or three colour versions of a snack pouch and let the client pick.
  • Share a pet food design on Instagram, Behance or Dribbble with a real-looking preview.

Good to know

  • Made by Creatoom. The download size and format are listed on their page.
  • The preview shows the angle, background and lighting you’ll get.
  • Check the smart object size before you design, so your artwork fits without stretching.
  • Built for Adobe Photoshop. A recent CC version handles the smart objects best.

Questions about this mockup

Is it free for commercial use?

It's free to download, but the licence belongs to Creatoom. Check their page: it states whether commercial use is allowed and if attribution is needed.

How do I add my design?

Open the file in Photoshop, double-click the smart object thumbnail, paste or place your artwork in the new tab, save it (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close. The main file updates on its own.

Which Photoshop version do I need?

A recent Photoshop CC version is best. Older versions can open the file but sometimes have trouble with smart objects and effects.

Can I change the packaging colour?

Usually yes. There is normally a colour layer under the design smart object, so you can change the base colour without touching your artwork.

Why does the download open another website?

We list free files from designers around the web and link to the original page, so Creatoom gets the visit and you get the file exactly as they published it.
