Flat design long shadow text
A long shadow is a solid, flat shadow that stretches from the letters toward a corner, as if lit by a low sun. It became popular with flat design and still works for app icons, posters, infographic headings and bold social posts.
How to make it
- Type your text. Tall, condensed fonts such as Bebas Neue and Anton cast the cleanest shadows.
- Raise Long shadow until the shadow reaches the edge of the image.
- Pick a shadow colour a few shades darker than the background. This is the key to the flat look.
- Keep the letters white or very light, then download.
