Cosmetics Tube Mockup

What's inside

  • Applications Photoshop
  • File Types PSD
  • License Free (see author's terms)
  • Author Original Mockups

A cosmetics tube mockup, made for presenting a tube design. Drop in your artwork and the lighting and shadows stay as they are.

Packaging designers and skincare brands tend to get the most out of files like this. One thing worth knowing: leave a little breathing room around the label edge so the highlight strip does not cut through your logo.

Labels behave differently once they wrap around a shape, and this is where you find out if yours still reads. A shelf of two or three variants in different colours makes a strong hero image.

The file is made by Original Mockups. The download button takes you to their page, where you get the original file and the licence details.

What’s inside the Cosmetics Tube Mockup PSD

Everything below is on its own layer:

  • Label artwork, placed through the smart object
  • Container colour
  • Shadows
  • Highlights and reflections

Editing the Cosmetics Tube Mockup, step by step

  1. Export the label at the size of the smart object.
  2. In the Layers panel, find the layer with the small smart object icon and double-click it.
  3. Place your design, hide the sample artwork, save, and go back to the main file.
  4. Change the container colour.
  5. Save a JPG for clients and social media, and keep the PSD for later changes.

Transparent or glass items show the background through. Test your label on the actual background colour you’ll use.

Questions about this mockup

Is it free for commercial use?

Original Mockups sets the licence, and it can differ from file to file. Many free files allow personal and commercial use, but some are personal-only or ask for credit. Read the terms on the download page before a paid project.

How do I add my design?

Open the file in Photoshop, double-click the smart object thumbnail, paste or place your artwork in the new tab, save it (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close. The main file updates on its own.

Which Photoshop version do I need?

A recent Photoshop CC version is best. Older versions can open the file but sometimes have trouble with smart objects and effects.

Can I change the liquid or container colour?

Most bottle, can and cup mockups keep the container colour on its own layer. Liquid colour, where visible, is usually adjustable too.

Why does the download open another website?

We list free files from designers around the web and link to the original page, so Original Mockups gets the visit and you get the file exactly as they published it.
