New iPad Mockup
What's inside
- Applications Photoshop
- File Types PSD
- License Free (see author's terms)
- Author Dribbble
Here’s a new iPad mockup that works well for an e-learning screen, a dashboard and similar projects.
Useful for UI designers as much as for publishers. Tip: screenshots with a white background can blend into the bezel; a thin shadow or darker UI reads better.
Stakeholders who don’t read wireframes still understand a screen on a device straight away. Pair it with a second device from the same angle to show a responsive layout.
The file is made by a designer on Dribbble. The download button takes you to their page, where you get the original file and the licence details.
New iPad Mockup: editable parts
The PSD is layered, so you can change:
- Screen design, placed through the smart object
- Shadow under the device
- Screen glare and reflection layers
Editing the New iPad Mockup, step by step
- Pick one strong screen. It reads better than a crowded one.
- Open the file in Photoshop and double-click the smart object thumbnail in the Layers panel.
- Paste your design, resize it to fill the area, then save (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close that tab.
- Lower the glare layer if it hides small text.
- Save a JPG for clients and social media, and keep the PSD for later changes.
Another tip: make your screen design at the exact pixel size of the smart object, otherwise text on the screen turns blurry.
Where the New iPad Mockup works best
- Show a dashboard to a client before it goes to print or production.
- Use it as the cover image for a digital magazine page in your portfolio.
- Share an e-learning screen on Instagram, Behance or Dribbble with a real-looking preview.
Good to know
- Made by a designer on Dribbble. The download size and format are listed on their page.
- Some free mockups ask for credit when you post them. A short line in your caption is enough.
- The preview shows the angle, background and lighting you’ll get.

Questions about this mockup
Is it free for commercial use?
It's free to download, but the licence belongs to a designer on Dribbble. Check their page: it states whether commercial use is allowed and if attribution is needed.
How do I put my artwork on the iPad?
Find the smart object layer (it has a small icon on its thumbnail), double-click it, place your design, then save and close that tab.
Which Photoshop version do I need?
A recent Photoshop CC version is best. Older versions can open the file but sometimes have trouble with smart objects and effects.
What size should my screenshot be?
Open the screen smart object and check its canvas size in Image › Canvas Size. Paste your screenshot at that size so it stays sharp.
