Wayfinding signs looks better on a yard sign mockup than on a white artboard, and this mockup is set up for exactly that.
Useful for shop owners as much as for architects. Match the brightness of your design to the scene; a very bright graphic in a shaded spot looks pasted in.
It’s also handy for student and portfolio work, when you want to show a campaign that never went live.
Works well for
- Wayfinding signs
- An office sign
- A neon logo
A designer on Gumroad created this one and hosts the download on their own site, so you always get the latest version straight from the source.
Editable options in the Yard Sign Mockup PSD
The PSD is layered, so you can change:
- Ad artwork, placed through the smart object
- Brightness to match the scene
- Lighting and shadow layers
How to edit this Yard Sign Mockup in Photoshop
- Keep the ad simple: one image, a short headline and the logo.
- Open the file in Photoshop and double-click the smart object thumbnail in the Layers panel.
- Place your design, hide the sample artwork, save, and go back to the main file.
- Match the ad’s brightness to the scene with the lighting layers.
- Save a JPG for clients and social media, and keep the PSD for later changes.
One more thing: night or backlit scenes usually have a glow layer. Push it up for lightboxes, down for printed paper.
