Show an event programme the way it will actually look: on a gatefold brochure mockup.
It’s a handy file for marketing teams and agencies. A small tip: match your panel widths to the fold lines in the smart object; tri-folds have one slightly narrower panel.
Clients sign off faster when they can picture the finished piece, and a flat PDF rarely does that as well as a photo of the brochure. If you’re building a full identity, pair it with an envelope or letterhead mockup for a matching set.
Pixpine created this one and hosts the download on their own site, so you always get the latest version straight from the source.
Editable options in the Gatefold Brochure Mockup PSD
Main things you can change in Photoshop:
- Your design, placed through the smart object
- Paper or background colour
- Shadows and highlights on their own layers
- Paper texture you can turn up or down
Add your design to the Gatefold Brochure Mockup
- Get your artwork ready at print size, with 1/8 inch of bleed if it runs to the edge.
- Open the file in Photoshop and double-click the smart object thumbnail in the Layers panel.
- Drop your artwork in, fit it to the canvas, save and close. The mockup updates by itself.
- Turn the texture layer up or down to match the paper you’ll print on.
- Export with File › Export › Export As: JPG for sharing, PNG for the web.
Worth remembering: dark designs often look flat on paper mockups. Turning the highlight layer up slightly brings back the sheen.

Questions about this mockup
What licence does it come with?
It's free to download, but the licence belongs to Pixpine. Check their page: it states whether commercial use is allowed and if attribution is needed.
How do I put my artwork on the brochure?
Find the smart object layer (it has a small icon on its thumbnail), double-click it, place your design, then save and close that tab.
Do I need Photoshop?
Yes. This is a PSD mockup built with smart objects, so you edit it in Adobe Photoshop. Any recent CC version works.
Can I show both sides?
It depends on the file. Many print mockups include a front and a back smart object; the preview usually shows whether both sides are visible.
