A gift box design looks better on a box mockup than on a white artboard, and this mockup is set up for exactly that. Having several angles in one download saves you hunting for a matching second shot.
It’s a handy file for packaging designers and subscription box companies. Glossy packaging picks up highlights over your art; reduce the highlight layer if your logo gets washed out.
It’s also handy for crowdfunding pages and pitch decks, when the product exists but the packaging hasn’t been printed yet. A matching label or sticker mockup rounds out the set.
Mr.Mockup created this one and hosts the download on their own site, so you always get the latest version straight from the source.
Box Set Mockup: editable parts
Main things you can change in Photoshop:
- Label or box artwork, placed through the smart object
- Background colour
- Gloss and highlight layers
How to use the Box Set Mockup
- Build the label or box art flat, panel by panel.
- In the Layers panel, find the layer with the small smart object icon and double-click it.
- Place your design, hide the sample artwork, save, and go back to the main file.
- Change the base colour of the pack.
- Export a full-size image for your portfolio and a smaller one for social media.
Worth remembering: build the label or dieline flat first, then place it; bending text inside the mockup is harder to fix later.

Questions about this mockup
Is it free for commercial use?
It's free to download, but the licence belongs to Mr.Mockup. Check their page: it states whether commercial use is allowed and if attribution is needed.
How do I add my design?
Open the file in Photoshop, double-click the smart object thumbnail, paste or place your artwork in the new tab, save it (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close. The main file updates on its own.
Which Photoshop version do I need?
A recent Photoshop CC version is best. Older versions can open the file but sometimes have trouble with smart objects and effects.
Is the design wrapped around the shape?
Round packs usually use warp or displacement so the label bends with the shape. Flat boxes use separate smart objects for each visible side.
