Show an energy drink wrap the way it will actually look: on a cardboard tin can mockup.

Breweries and beverage startups tend to get the most out of files like this. A small tip: transparent or glass items show the background through. Test your label on the actual background colour you’ll use.

Beverage and beauty brands use renders like this on their shop pages long before the first production batch. A shelf of two or three variants in different colours makes a strong hero image.

Works well for

  • An energy drink wrap
  • A craft beer label
  • A soda design

This is a free file from Dribbble Graphics. When you click download you’ll land on their page to grab it.

What you can edit in this Cardboard Tin Can Mockup

Everything below is on its own layer:

  • Label artwork, placed through the smart object
  • Highlights and reflections
  • Background colour
  • Container colour

How to use the Cardboard Tin Can Mockup

  1. Design the label flat and keep the logo in the middle third, where the curve bends it least.
  2. In the Layers panel, find the layer with the small smart object icon and double-click it.
  3. Paste your design, resize it to fill the area, then save (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close that tab.
  4. Change the background to your brand colour.
  5. Export with File › Export › Export As: JPG for sharing, PNG for the web.

One more thing: leave a little breathing room around the label edge so the highlight strip does not cut through your logo.

Questions about this mockup

Can I use this can mockup for client work?

It's free to download, but the licence belongs to Dribbble Graphics. Check their page: it states whether commercial use is allowed and if attribution is needed.

How do I add my design?

Open the file in Photoshop, double-click the smart object thumbnail, paste or place your artwork in the new tab, save it (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close. The main file updates on its own.

Which Photoshop version do I need?

A recent Photoshop CC version is best. Older versions can open the file but sometimes have trouble with smart objects and effects.

Can I change the liquid or container colour?

Most bottle, can and cup mockups keep the container colour on its own layer. Liquid colour, where visible, is usually adjustable too.

Why does the download open another website?

We list free files from designers around the web and link to the original page, so Dribbble Graphics gets the visit and you get the file exactly as they published it.
