Here’s a folded business card mockup that works well for a QR code card, a front and back card design and similar projects.

Branding studios and small businesses tend to get the most out of files like this. Tip: dark designs often look flat on paper mockups. Turning the highlight layer up slightly brings back the sheen.

Print jobs are expensive to redo, so a realistic preview before the order goes out is cheap insurance. If you’re building a full identity, pair it with an envelope or letterhead mockup for a matching set.

Works well for

  • A QR code card
  • A front and back card design
  • A minimal logo card

Mockups Design created this one and hosts the download on their own site, so you always get the latest version straight from the source.

Folded Business Card Mockup: editable parts

Everything below is on its own layer:

  • Your design, placed through the smart object
  • Paper texture you can turn up or down
  • Shadows and highlights on their own layers
  • Front and back artwork, where both sides are shown

Editing the Folded Business Card Mockup, step by step

  1. Export your artwork as a high-resolution PNG or JPG, around 300 ppi at print size.
  2. Open the PSD in Photoshop and find the smart object layer, usually named “Your Design” or “Place Here”.
  3. Paste your design, resize it to fill the area, then save (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close that tab.
  4. Change the background or paper colour with the colour layer.
  5. Export with File › Export › Export As: JPG for sharing, PNG for the web.

Another tip: standard cards are small; keep body text at 7–8 pt or larger so it stays readable in the preview.

Where the Folded Business Card Mockup works best

  • Use it as the cover image for a minimal logo card in your portfolio.
  • Make two or three colour versions of a front and back card design and let the client pick.
  • Show a QR code card to a client before it goes to print or production.

Questions about this mockup

Can I use this business card mockup for client work?

That depends on the author's terms. The download page lists what is allowed; when in doubt, ask the author directly.

How do I add my design?

Open the file in Photoshop, double-click the smart object thumbnail, paste or place your artwork in the new tab, save it (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close. The main file updates on its own.

Do I need Photoshop?

Yes. This is a PSD mockup built with smart objects, so you edit it in Adobe Photoshop. Any recent CC version works.

Will my artwork look printed or pasted on?

Most print mockups keep the paper texture and lighting on separate layers above your design, so it takes on the grain and shadows. If it still looks too clean, lower the opacity of your artwork a little.

Why does the download open another website?

We list free files from designers around the web and link to the original page, so Mockups Design gets the visit and you get the file exactly as they published it.
