A rubber stamp mockup, made for presenting a postage stamp design. Drop in your artwork and the lighting and shadows stay as they are.

Useful for branding designers as much as for craft brands. If the paper has texture, drop the opacity of your art by a few percent so the grain shows through.

Seeing a layout on a real stamp is also the easiest way to catch problems early. A phone number that looked fine on screen can turn out too small once it sits on paper. For a complete brand board, show it next to a business card and a notebook.

What’s inside the Rubber Stamp Mock-up PSD

Main things you can change in Photoshop:

  • Your design, placed through the smart object
  • Shadows and highlights on their own layers
  • Front and back artwork, where both sides are shown

Add your design to the Rubber Stamp Mock-up

  1. Get your artwork ready at print size, with 1/8 inch of bleed if it runs to the edge.
  2. Open the file in Photoshop and double-click the smart object thumbnail in the Layers panel.
  3. Place your design, hide the sample artwork, save, and go back to the main file.
  4. Export a full-size image for your portfolio and a smaller one for social media.

Keep text at least a few millimetres from the edge. The mockup shows the trim, and cramped margins read as a mistake.

Questions about this mockup

Can I use this stamp mockup for client work?

It's free to download, but the licence belongs to Dribbble Graphics. Check their page: it states whether commercial use is allowed and if attribution is needed.

How do I put my artwork on the stamp?

Find the smart object layer (it has a small icon on its thumbnail), double-click it, place your design, then save and close that tab.

Which Photoshop version do I need?

A recent Photoshop CC version is best. Older versions can open the file but sometimes have trouble with smart objects and effects.

Can I show both sides?

It depends on the file. Many print mockups include a front and a back smart object; the preview usually shows whether both sides are visible.

Why does the download open another website?

We list free files from designers around the web and link to the original page, so Dribbble Graphics gets the visit and you get the file exactly as they published it.
