A wedding invitation looks better on a sim card mockup than on a white artboard, and this mockup is set up for exactly that.
Etsy sellers and event planners tend to get the most out of files like this. Quick tip: if the paper has texture, drop the opacity of your art by a few percent so the grain shows through.
Print jobs are expensive to redo, so a realistic preview before the order goes out is cheap insurance. If you’re building a full identity, pair it with an envelope or letterhead mockup for a matching set.
Good for
- A wedding invitation
- A greeting card
- A thank-you card
PSD Graphics created this one and hosts the download on their own site, so you always get the latest version straight from the source.
Editable options in the Sim Card Mockup PSD
Main things you can change in Photoshop:
- Your design, placed through the smart object
- Front and back artwork, where both sides are shown
- Paper or background colour
- Shadows and highlights on their own layers
How to use the Sim Card Mockup
- Export your artwork as a high-resolution PNG or JPG, around 300 ppi at print size.
- Open the file in Photoshop and double-click the smart object thumbnail in the Layers panel.
- Place your design, hide the sample artwork, save, and go back to the main file.
- Tweak the shadow and highlight layers to suit your colours.
- Export with File › Export › Export As: JPG for sharing, PNG for the web.
One more thing: keep text at least a few millimetres from the edge. The mockup shows the trim, and cramped margins read as a mistake.
Where the Sim Card Mockup works best
- Make two or three colour versions of a greeting card and let the client pick.
- Present a wedding invitation in a client proposal or brand guide.
- Share a thank-you card on Instagram, Behance or Dribbble with a real-looking preview.
Quick notes on this mockup

Questions about this mockup
What licence does it come with?
That depends on the author's terms. The download page lists what is allowed; when in doubt, ask the author directly.
How do I add my design?
Open the file in Photoshop, double-click the smart object thumbnail, paste or place your artwork in the new tab, save it (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close. The main file updates on its own.
Do I need Photoshop?
Yes. This is a PSD mockup built with smart objects, so you edit it in Adobe Photoshop. Any recent CC version works.
Will my artwork look printed or pasted on?
Most print mockups keep the paper texture and lighting on separate layers above your design, so it takes on the grain and shadows. If it still looks too clean, lower the opacity of your artwork a little.
Why does the download open another website?
We list free files from designers around the web and link to the original page, so PSD Graphics gets the visit and you get the file exactly as they published it.
