Skateboard Mockups

What's inside

  • Applications Photoshop
  • File Types PSD
  • License Free (see author's terms)
  • Author Behance

A skateboard mockup, made for presenting a small logo. Drop in your artwork and the lighting and shadows stay as they are.

Product designers and merch brands tend to get the most out of files like this. Tip: change the background colour to your brand palette; it does more for the final image than people expect.

Small branded items are often the part of an identity that clients remember, so it’s worth showing them properly.

Works well for

  • A small logo
  • Merch branding
  • A pattern

A designer on Behance created this one and hosts the download on their own site, so you always get the latest version straight from the source.

What you can edit in this Skateboard Mockups

The PSD is layered, so you can change:

  • Logo or artwork, placed through the smart object
  • Object colour, where included
  • Background colour
  • Shadows

Editing the Skateboard Mockups, step by step

  1. Export your logo or artwork as a PNG with transparency.
  2. Open the PSD in Photoshop and find the smart object layer, usually named “Your Design” or “Place Here”.
  3. Drop your artwork in, fit it to the canvas, save and close. The mockup updates by itself.
  4. Adjust the shadow so the object sits on the surface.
  5. Export a full-size image for your portfolio and a smaller one for social media.

Keep your artwork simple. Small objects shrink details quickly, so a bold mark reads better than fine lines.

Ways to use this Skateboard Mockups

Questions about this mockup

Can I use this accessory mockup for client work?

It's free to download, but the licence belongs to a designer on Behance. Check their page: it states whether commercial use is allowed and if attribution is needed.

How do I add my design?

Open the file in Photoshop, double-click the smart object thumbnail, paste or place your artwork in the new tab, save it (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close. The main file updates on its own.

Which Photoshop version do I need?

A recent Photoshop CC version is best. Older versions can open the file but sometimes have trouble with smart objects and effects.

Can I change the background?

Most object mockups have a background colour or image layer at the bottom of the stack that you can swap.
