Here’s a vertical banner mockup that works well for a sale banner, an event banner and similar projects.
It’s a handy file for print shops and retailers. Tip: check your artwork’s aspect ratio against the smart object before you start, or faces and logos get cropped.
It’s also handy for student and portfolio work, when you want to show a campaign that never went live. Show the same visual on a billboard and a flyer to present a consistent campaign.
Good for
- A sale banner
- An event banner
- A street banner
Mr.Mockup created this one and hosts the download on their own site, so you always get the latest version straight from the source.
Editable options in the Vertical Banner Mockup PSD
Everything below is on its own layer:
- Ad artwork, placed through the smart object
- Brightness to match the scene
- Lighting and shadow layers
- Glow layer for backlit scenes, where included
Add your design to the Vertical Banner Mockup
- Check the smart object’s ratio first, then build the ad to match it.
- In the Layers panel, find the layer with the small smart object icon and double-click it.
- Drop your artwork in, fit it to the canvas, save and close. The mockup updates by itself.
- Check the crop so faces and logos stay inside the frame.
- Export a full-size image for your portfolio and a smaller one for social media.
One more thing: outdoor ads are read in a second or two. Big type and one image will look far better in this scene than a busy layout.
Ways to use this Vertical Banner Mockup
- Make two or three colour versions of a street banner and let the client pick.
- Show an event banner on your online shop or product page.
- Show a sale banner to a client before it goes to print or production.
Good to know
- Made by Mr.Mockup. The download size and format are listed on their page.
- Some free mockups ask for credit when you post them. A short line in your caption is enough.
- Built for Adobe Photoshop. A recent CC version handles the smart objects best.

Questions about this mockup
Can I use this banner mockup for client work?
That depends on the author's terms. The download page lists what is allowed; when in doubt, ask the author directly.
How do I put my artwork on the banner?
Find the smart object layer (it has a small icon on its thumbnail), double-click it, place your design, then save and close that tab.
Which Photoshop version do I need?
A recent Photoshop CC version is best. Older versions can open the file but sometimes have trouble with smart objects and effects.
Can I change the surroundings?
Usually only lighting and shadows are adjustable. The street, sky or building are part of the photo.
