Wood MacBook Pro Mockup
What's inside
- Applications Photoshop
- File Types PSD
- License Free (see author's terms)
- Author Mockup Nest
Show a SaaS dashboard the way it will actually look: on a wood MacBook Pro mockup. Because it’s wood, the material shows through a little, which keeps the result believable.
Useful for agencies as much as for developers. Quick tip: for app store or portfolio images, crop tight around the device so the screen fills most of the frame.
It’s also a quick way to make case study images look consistent: same device, same angle, different screens.
The file is made by Mockup Nest. The download button takes you to their page, where you get the original file and the licence details.
Editable options in the Wood MacBook Pro Mockup PSD
The PSD is layered, so you can change:
- Screen design, placed through the smart object
- Screen glare and reflection layers
- Shadow under the device
- Background colour
How to edit this Wood MacBook Pro Mockup in Photoshop
- Pick one strong screen. It reads better than a crowded one.
- In the Layers panel, find the layer with the small smart object icon and double-click it.
- Drop your artwork in, fit it to the canvas, save and close. The mockup updates by itself.
- Change the background colour to fit your brand.
- Save a JPG for clients and social media, and keep the PSD for later changes.
Worth remembering: make your screen design at the exact pixel size of the smart object, otherwise text on the screen turns blurry.

Questions about this mockup
What licence does it come with?
It's free to download, but the licence belongs to Mockup Nest. Check their page: it states whether commercial use is allowed and if attribution is needed.
How do I add my design?
Open the file in Photoshop, double-click the smart object thumbnail, paste or place your artwork in the new tab, save it (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close. The main file updates on its own.
Which Photoshop version do I need?
A recent Photoshop CC version is best. Older versions can open the file but sometimes have trouble with smart objects and effects.
What size should my screenshot be?
Open the screen smart object and check its canvas size in Image › Canvas Size. Paste your screenshot at that size so it stays sharp.
