Need to show a product design to a client? This writing pad mockup does the job in a few minutes.

It’s a handy file for designers and small brands. Quick tip: change the background colour to your brand palette; it does more for the final image than people expect.

Merch and gift ideas are much easier to approve when people can see them on the real object.

The file is made by GraphicsFuel. The download button takes you to their page, where you get the original file and the licence details.

What’s inside the Writing Pad Mockup PSD

Main things you can change in Photoshop:

  • Logo or artwork, placed through the smart object
  • Background colour
  • Shadows
  • Object colour, where included

Editing the Writing Pad Mockup, step by step

  1. Export your logo or artwork as a PNG with transparency.
  2. In the Layers panel, find the layer with the small smart object icon and double-click it.
  3. Drop your artwork in, fit it to the canvas, save and close. The mockup updates by itself.
  4. Save a JPG for clients and social media, and keep the PSD for later changes.

One more thing: use a PNG with transparency for logos so the material around them keeps its texture.
