Walnuts Mockup
What's inside
- Applications Photoshop
- File Types PSD
- License Free (see author's terms)

Show a pattern the way it will actually look: on a walnuts mockup.
Useful for small brands as much as for designers. One thing worth knowing: use a PNG with transparency for logos so the material around them keeps its texture.
Small branded items are often the part of an identity that clients remember, so it’s worth showing them properly.
Good for
- A pattern
- A product design
- A logo

Editable options in the Walnuts Mockup PSD
Open it in Photoshop and you can change:
- Logo or artwork, placed through the smart object
- Object colour, where included
- Shadows
- Background colour
Add your design to the Walnuts Mockup
- Export your logo or artwork as a PNG with transparency.
- Open the PSD in Photoshop and find the smart object layer, usually named “Your Design” or “Place Here”.
- Paste your design, resize it to fill the area, then save (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close that tab.
- Adjust the shadow so the object sits on the surface.
- Save a JPG for clients and social media, and keep the PSD for later changes.
One more thing: change the background colour to your brand palette; it does more for the final image than people expect.
Where the Walnuts Mockup works best
- Make two or three colour versions of a logo and let the client pick.
- Present a product design in a client proposal or brand guide.
- Share a pattern on Instagram, Behance or Dribbble with a real-looking preview.
Before you download
- Made by Undesigns. The download size and format are listed on their page.
- Built for Adobe Photoshop. A recent CC version handles the smart objects best.
- Some free mockups ask for credit when you post them. A short line in your caption is enough.

Questions about this mockup
Is it free for commercial use?
It's free to download, but the licence belongs to Undesigns. Check their page: it states whether commercial use is allowed and if attribution is needed.
How do I add my design?
Open the file in Photoshop, double-click the smart object thumbnail, paste or place your artwork in the new tab, save it (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close. The main file updates on its own.
Which Photoshop version do I need?
A recent Photoshop CC version is best. Older versions can open the file but sometimes have trouble with smart objects and effects.
Can I change the background?
Most object mockups have a background colour or image layer at the bottom of the stack that you can swap.
