Bucket Hat Mockup
What's inside

- File Types PSD
- License Free (see author's terms)

A bucket hat mockup, made for presenting a small patch design. Drop in your artwork and the lighting and shadows stay as they are.
Streetwear labels and sports teams tend to get the most out of files like this. Quick tip: caps show logos small and curved; a simplified version of the mark reads much better than the full logo.
Print-on-demand shops use images like this for listings, so the realism of the folds matters more than people think.
Good for
- A small patch design
- A side mark
- An embroidered logo

What’s inside the Bucket Hat Mockup PSD
Main things you can change in Photoshop:
- Print design, placed through the smart object
- Folds and wrinkles that wrap your print
- Shadows and highlights
How to use the Bucket Hat Mockup
- Prepare the graphic flat, without shadows or fake texture. The mockup adds those.
- Open the PSD in Photoshop and find the smart object layer, usually named “Your Design” or “Place Here”.
- Paste your design, resize it to fill the area, then save (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close that tab.
- Change the fabric colour with the colour fill layer.
- Save a JPG for clients and social media, and keep the PSD for later changes.
One more thing: keep chest prints around a third of the shirt width. Oversized art looks unrealistic on a folded or worn garment.
Ways to use this Bucket Hat Mockup
- Share an embroidered logo on Instagram, Behance or Dribbble with a real-looking preview.
- Show a small patch design to a client before it goes to print or production.
- Make two or three colour versions of a side mark and let the client pick.
Quick notes on this mockup

- The preview shows the angle, background and lighting you’ll get.
- Check the smart object size before you design, so your artwork fits without stretching.

Questions about this mockup
What licence does it come with?
That depends on the author's terms. The download page lists what is allowed; when in doubt, ask the author directly.
How do I put my artwork on the cap?
Find the smart object layer (it has a small icon on its thumbnail), double-click it, place your design, then save and close that tab.
Which Photoshop version do I need?
A recent Photoshop CC version is best. Older versions can open the file but sometimes have trouble with smart objects and effects.
Does the print follow the fabric folds?
Better apparel mockups use a displacement map or warp so the print follows the wrinkles. Check the preview: if the folds show through the logo, it does.
Why does the download open another website?
We list free files from designers around the web and link to the original page, so Mockups Design gets the visit and you get the file exactly as they published it.
