This ceramic plate mockup is a quick way to show a decorative print without a photo shoot. The ceramic finish gives the preview a tactile look that flat artwork doesn’t have.
It’s a handy file for restaurants and ceramic artists. A small tip: use a PNG with transparency for logos so the material around them keeps its texture.
It’s a nice extra slide in a branding presentation, after the logo and the main applications. Group it with other merch mockups for a branded items slide.

Ceramic Plate Mockup: editable parts
Open it in Photoshop and you can change:
- Logo or artwork, placed through the smart object
- Shadows
- Background colour
- Object colour, where included
Editing the Ceramic Plate Mockup, step by step
- Export your logo or artwork as a PNG with transparency.
- In the Layers panel, find the layer with the small smart object icon and double-click it.
- Drop your artwork in, fit it to the canvas, save and close. The mockup updates by itself.
- Save a JPG for clients and social media, and keep the PSD for later changes.
One more thing: keep your artwork simple. Small objects shrink details quickly, so a bold mark reads better than fine lines.
