Show a candy box the way it will actually look: on a chocolate cream packaging mockup.

It’s a handy file for packaging designers and gift shops. One thing worth knowing: check barcodes, weights and small legal text at 100% zoom. Packaging clients always look for those.

It’s also handy for crowdfunding pages and pitch decks, when the product exists but the packaging hasn’t been printed yet. Show it with a shipping box or bag from the same range to present the whole unboxing.

The file is made by Vectogravic. The download button takes you to their page, where you get the original file and the licence details.

Editable options in the Chocolate Cream Packaging Mockup PSD

Open it in Photoshop and you can change:

  • Label or box artwork, placed through the smart object
  • Gloss and highlight layers
  • Shadows

How to use the Chocolate Cream Packaging Mockup

  1. Build the label or box art flat, panel by panel.
  2. Open the PSD in Photoshop and find the smart object layer, usually named “Your Design” or “Place Here”.
  3. Place your design, hide the sample artwork, save, and go back to the main file.
  4. Turn the highlight layer down if it washes out your logo.
  5. Export with File › Export › Export As: JPG for sharing, PNG for the web.

Glossy packaging picks up highlights over your art; reduce the highlight layer if your logo gets washed out.

Questions about this mockup

What licence does it come with?

Vectogravic sets the licence, and it can differ from file to file. Many free files allow personal and commercial use, but some are personal-only or ask for credit. Read the terms on the download page before a paid project.

How do I put my artwork on the chocolate packaging?

Find the smart object layer (it has a small icon on its thumbnail), double-click it, place your design, then save and close that tab.

Which Photoshop version do I need?

A recent Photoshop CC version is best. Older versions can open the file but sometimes have trouble with smart objects and effects.

Can I change the packaging colour?

Usually yes. There is normally a colour layer under the design smart object, so you can change the base colour without touching your artwork.

Why does the download open another website?

We list free files from designers around the web and link to the original page, so Vectogravic gets the visit and you get the file exactly as they published it.
