Essential Stationery Mockup
What's inside

- File Types PSD
- License Free (see author's terms)
- Author Pixeden
This essential stationery mockup is a quick way to show letterhead, card and envelope without a photo shoot.
It’s a handy file for branding studios and design students. A small tip: use the same margins on every item in the set; it’s the detail that makes an identity look designed rather than assembled.
It also makes a good cover image for a Behance or Dribbble post, where the first thumbnail decides whether anyone clicks.
Use it for
- Letterhead, card and envelope
- A full brand identity
- A brand guideline cover
Pixeden created this one and hosts the download on their own site, so you always get the latest version straight from the source.
Editable options in the Essential Stationery Mockup PSD
The PSD is layered, so you can change:
- Your design, placed through the smart object
- Front and back artwork, where both sides are shown
- Shadows and highlights on their own layers
Editing the Essential Stationery Mockup, step by step
- Export your artwork as a high-resolution PNG or JPG, around 300 ppi at print size.
- In the Layers panel, find the layer with the small smart object icon and double-click it.
- Paste your design, resize it to fill the area, then save (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close that tab.
- Export with File › Export › Export As: JPG for sharing, PNG for the web.
One more thing: dark designs often look flat on paper mockups. Turning the highlight layer up slightly brings back the sheen.

Questions about this mockup
What licence does it come with?
That depends on the author's terms. The download page lists what is allowed; when in doubt, ask the author directly.
How do I put my artwork on the stationery set?
Find the smart object layer (it has a small icon on its thumbnail), double-click it, place your design, then save and close that tab.
Which Photoshop version do I need?
A recent Photoshop CC version is best. Older versions can open the file but sometimes have trouble with smart objects and effects.
Can I show both sides?
It depends on the file. Many print mockups include a front and a back smart object; the preview usually shows whether both sides are visible.
