A floating paper can mockup, made for presenting an energy drink wrap. Drop in your artwork and the lighting and shadows stay as they are. The paper finish gives the preview a tactile look that flat artwork doesn’t have.
Good pick for breweries, packaging designers or anyone putting together a portfolio. One thing worth knowing: transparent or glass items show the background through. Test your label on the actual background colour you’ll use.
Labels behave differently once they wrap around a shape, and this is where you find out if yours still reads. Pair it with a box or bag mockup to show the full product range.
Use it for
- An energy drink wrap
- A soda design
- A craft beer label

Editable options in the Floating Paper Can Mockup PSD
Main things you can change in Photoshop:
- Label artwork, placed through the smart object
- Background colour
- Shadows
- Highlights and reflections
Editing the Floating Paper Can Mockup, step by step
- Export the label at the size of the smart object.
- In the Layers panel, find the layer with the small smart object icon and double-click it.
- Paste your design, resize it to fill the area, then save (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close that tab.
- Change the container colour.
- Save a JPG for clients and social media, and keep the PSD for later changes.
One more thing: leave a little breathing room around the label edge so the highlight strip does not cut through your logo.

Questions about this mockup
What licence does it come with?
It's free to download, but the licence belongs to Pixpine. Check their page: it states whether commercial use is allowed and if attribution is needed.
How do I put my artwork on the can?
Find the smart object layer (it has a small icon on its thumbnail), double-click it, place your design, then save and close that tab.
Which Photoshop version do I need?
A recent Photoshop CC version is best. Older versions can open the file but sometimes have trouble with smart objects and effects.
Can I change the liquid or container colour?
Most bottle, can and cup mockups keep the container colour on its own layer. Liquid colour, where visible, is usually adjustable too.
