What's inside

  • Applications Photoshop
  • File Types PSD
  • License Free (see author's terms)

Show a front and back card design the way it will actually look: on an isometric business card mockup.

Useful for small businesses as much as for branding studios. One thing worth knowing: dark designs often look flat on paper mockups. Turning the highlight layer up slightly brings back the sheen.

Seeing a layout on a real business card is also the easiest way to catch problems early. A phone number that looked fine on screen can turn out too small once it sits on paper.

The file is made by Graphberry. The download button takes you to their page, where you get the original file and the licence details.

What you can edit in this Isometric Business Card Mockup

The PSD is layered, so you can change:

  • Your design, placed through the smart object
  • Shadows and highlights on their own layers
  • Front and back artwork, where both sides are shown
  • Paper or background colour

How to edit this Isometric Business Card Mockup in Photoshop

  1. Export your artwork as a high-resolution PNG or JPG, around 300 ppi at print size.
  2. Open the PSD in Photoshop and find the smart object layer, usually named “Your Design” or “Place Here”.
  3. Paste your design, resize it to fill the area, then save (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close that tab.
  4. Change the background or paper colour with the colour layer.
  5. Save a JPG for clients and social media, and keep the PSD for later changes.

Worth remembering: export your artwork at the size the smart object asks for; scaling a small file up is the usual reason print mockups look soft.

Questions about this mockup

Can I use this business card mockup for client work?

It's free to download, but the licence belongs to Graphberry. Check their page: it states whether commercial use is allowed and if attribution is needed.

How do I add my design?

Open the file in Photoshop, double-click the smart object thumbnail, paste or place your artwork in the new tab, save it (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close. The main file updates on its own.

Which Photoshop version do I need?

A recent Photoshop CC version is best. Older versions can open the file but sometimes have trouble with smart objects and effects.

Will my artwork look printed or pasted on?

Most print mockups keep the paper texture and lighting on separate layers above your design, so it takes on the grain and shadows. If it still looks too clean, lower the opacity of your artwork a little.
