Here’s a packaging tape mockup that works well for branded packing tape, a washi tape pattern and similar projects.

It’s a handy file for e-commerce brands and stationery designers. Quick tip: keep your artwork simple. Small objects shrink details quickly, so a bold mark reads better than fine lines.

Small branded items are often the part of an identity that clients remember, so it’s worth showing them properly.

Editable options in the Packaging Tape Mockup PSD

The PSD is layered, so you can change:

  • Logo or artwork, placed through the smart object
  • Shadows
  • Object colour, where included
  • Background colour

How to use the Packaging Tape Mockup

  1. Prepare the artwork in your brand colours.
  2. Open the PSD in Photoshop and find the smart object layer, usually named “Your Design” or “Place Here”.
  3. Paste your design, resize it to fill the area, then save (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close that tab.
  4. Adjust the shadow so the object sits on the surface.
  5. Export with File › Export › Export As: JPG for sharing, PNG for the web.

Change the background colour to your brand palette; it does more for the final image than people expect.
