Need to show a corporate gift calendar to a client? This wall calendar mockup does the job in a few minutes.

Print shops and photographers tend to get the most out of files like this. A small tip: dark designs often look flat on paper mockups. Turning the highlight layer up slightly brings back the sheen.

Seeing a layout on a real calendar is also the easiest way to catch problems early. A phone number that looked fine on screen can turn out too small once it sits on paper.

This is a free file from MockupFree. When you click download you’ll land on their page to grab it.

Wall Calendar Mockup: editable parts

The PSD is layered, so you can change:

  • Your design, placed through the smart object
  • Front and back artwork, where both sides are shown
  • Paper texture you can turn up or down
  • Paper or background colour

Add your design to the Wall Calendar Mockup

  1. Export your artwork as a high-resolution PNG or JPG, around 300 ppi at print size.
  2. In the Layers panel, find the layer with the small smart object icon and double-click it.
  3. Place your design, hide the sample artwork, save, and go back to the main file.
  4. Change the background or paper colour with the colour layer.
  5. Export with File › Export › Export As: JPG for sharing, PNG for the web.

Another tip: use CMYK-friendly colours in the artwork itself, even though the mockup is RGB, so what the client sees is close to print.

Questions about this mockup

What licence does it come with?

It's free to download, but the licence belongs to MockupFree. Check their page: it states whether commercial use is allowed and if attribution is needed.

How do I add my design?

Open the file in Photoshop, double-click the smart object thumbnail, paste or place your artwork in the new tab, save it (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close. The main file updates on its own.

Which Photoshop version do I need?

A recent Photoshop CC version is best. Older versions can open the file but sometimes have trouble with smart objects and effects.

Will my artwork look printed or pasted on?

Most print mockups keep the paper texture and lighting on separate layers above your design, so it takes on the grain and shadows. If it still looks too clean, lower the opacity of your artwork a little.

Why does the download open another website?

We list free files from designers around the web and link to the original page, so MockupFree gets the visit and you get the file exactly as they published it.
