Here’s a crew socks mockup that works well for a cuff logo, a seasonal design and similar projects.

Good pick for print-on-demand sellers, sock brands or anyone putting together a portfolio. A small tip: if the print looks too sharp, a very slight blur (0.3 px) makes it sit into the fabric.

Print-on-demand shops use images like this for listings, so the realism of the folds matters more than people think. Shops often pair it with a cap or tote bag mockup to show a small merch collection.

Free PSD Templates created this one and hosts the download on their own site, so you always get the latest version straight from the source.

Crew Socks Mockup: editable parts

Main things you can change in Photoshop:

  • Print design, placed through the smart object
  • Fabric colour
  • Background colour
  • Shadows and highlights

How to use the Crew Socks Mockup

  1. Decide where the design sits on the item and size your art for that spot.
  2. Open the PSD in Photoshop and find the smart object layer, usually named “Your Design” or “Place Here”.
  3. Paste your design, resize it to fill the area, then save (Ctrl/Cmd + S) and close that tab.
  4. Change the fabric colour with the colour fill layer.
  5. Export with File › Export › Export As: JPG for sharing, PNG for the web.

Another tip: keep chest prints around a third of the shirt width. Oversized art looks unrealistic on a folded or worn garment.

Questions about this mockup

Is it free for commercial use?

That depends on the author's terms. The download page lists what is allowed; when in doubt, ask the author directly.

How do I put my artwork on the socks?

Find the smart object layer (it has a small icon on its thumbnail), double-click it, place your design, then save and close that tab.

Do I need Photoshop?

Yes. This is a PSD mockup built with smart objects, so you edit it in Adobe Photoshop. Any recent CC version works.

Does the print follow the fabric folds?

Better apparel mockups use a displacement map or warp so the print follows the wrinkles. Check the preview: if the folds show through the logo, it does.
